Sergeant, Company F, 4th Regiment New York Volunteers.


This Regiment was mustered in during May 1861 and mustered our during May 1863. It was involved in battles at Antietam, Fredericksburg, and Chancellorsville. More information about the Regiment is available at:

In the 1880 census, he appears living in Mamaroneck with his wife Mary and daughter Betsie, and his occupation is listed as "Blacksmith."


In the 1900 census, he also appears in Mamaroneck living with his wife Mary, four children and a boarder.
