Husband of Hester Jane Davis. According to the 1870 US Census, there was a Thaddeus Davis (age 52) living with his wife Hester (age 32) in New York City. The record lists him as a "Captain of Police."
There were four sons in the household: Henry, 19, George, 17, Samuel, 13, and John, 38, along with a maid named Sekreiner Keate, aged 19.
